ZENslip CAS is a patent of Skopre S.r.l., brought about through collaboration

between Dr. Zani Zeno (Italy) and Dimar (California). The product is a

non-deformable superlight wedge, which fits between the sole and the cleat

of the pedal. Zenslip CAS keeps the exact same identical position of cyclists

foot, while it changes the plane of the pedal, triggering dynamic activities

throughout the rotation of the crank, resulting in faster transition through

the dead spots; this thanks to a change in the effective vector force, and the

rise of the shoe on the pedal.

The feeling during the rotation (30° -150°) is normal, followed by a slipping

effect at the dead point, in the lower part of the rotation (150° - 210°).

The dynamic effects are most evident when climbing due to the inclination

of the bicycle with the consequent extension of the lower transition of the

pedal for which:

• It accelerates the passage of the dead points, when riding uphill

• It reduces the need to rise on the pedals to revive the action

• The improved acceleration uphill starts at 140° and continues through

the dead point and up to 215°
